MARBLES is an enriching six-month online educational venture specifically designed for the clergy wives of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar. After its initiation in the year 2021, almost one hundred candidates have attended in the three batches thus far. This programme aims to empower and support the wives of the clergy in their unique roles, providing them with pertinent resources and information to be of challenging relevance within the diverse arena of their experiences. This programme also helps the candidate in their spiritual formation,
and endows them with practical skills to enhance their ministry and personal growth.
Throughout the course, participants engage in a dynamic curriculum that includes foundational narratives from the Bible, history and theology; leadership skill development tools; information on ministerial challenges and practical skills to surmount it. The program also offers interactive workshops, group discussions, and mentorship opportunities, fostering a strong community of learning and mutual support.
Marbles seeks to deepen the participants' understanding of their role in the chosen vocation, strengthen their spiritual lives, and equip them with the tools needed to effectively support their husbands' ministries and contribute to the life and mission of the church without losing their own identity. By the end of the program, clergy wives will be better prepared to be content within themselves, navigate the challenges of their roles and make a positive impact in their congregations and communities.
Rev Sujith Sam Mammen serves as the course Director and Ms Litty Renny is the course Coordinator.
